International Cement Group sees revenue advance 14% YoY

International Cement Group (ICG) , which operates cement plants in Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, has reported revenue of SGD257.4m (US$191.4m) in 2023, up 14 per cent on the SGD225.2m seen in the previous year. Net income over the same period was down 44 per cent to SGD16.1m. Lebap Cement exceeds 1Mt production in 2023

The Lebap cement plant in Turkmenistan produced more than 1Mt of cement of various grades last year. About 107,500t of cement were sent to neighbouring Uzbekistan last year, reports Turkmenportal. The plant’s specialists are optimistic about the future, planning to increase product production along with improving its quality indicators.

The Armenian government has banned imports from third countries for a period of six months. Steppe Cement Ltd recorded 11 per cent revenue growth in 2022 to KZT40m (US$86,560) from KZT36m a year earlier, citing positive market conditions as it focussed on the Kazakh domestic market. Sustained Visions (SUSVI) and DAL Teknik Makina (DAL) have completed the kiln line upgrade at Gazakh Cement plant in Azerbaijan despite the COVID-19 restrictions.
